Del Real Foods is marking Hispanic Heritage Month with a new integrated marketing campaign and a retail expansion across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. The campaign, titled "Flavors That Bring Us Together," runs through October 15 and centers on two videos showcasing everyday moments—a family preparing dinner and friends building tacos for game night. According to Fernando Torres, Brand Development and Activation Director, "Hispanic Heritage Month is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the flavors and traditions that have brought people together for generations. At Del Real Foods, we believe authentic Mexican food has the power to make everyday moments more meaningful." The Mira Loma, California-based company will distribute campaign content across social media, e-commerce, and creator partnerships, with retail support including point-of-sale placements at Albertsons stores across the West and an Instacart media investment targeting grocery shoppers.

Retail Expansion Del Real Foods is expanding distribution this September across three regional chains: Meijer stores throughout the Midwest, Giant Martin's locations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Maryland, and Giant Andover stores across Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. The company specializes in ready-to-eat Mexican dishes including carnitas, barbacoa, and tamales.

Why It Matters

For operators and retailers, the expansion signals growing demand for authentic Mexican prepared foods and demonstrates how established brands are investing in cultural marketing tied to concrete distribution gains. The dual focus on digital and retail touchpoints—from social creators to Instacart—reflects shifting consumer grocery habits and the continued relevance of heritage-focused campaigns in the Hispanic food category.
