Two South Korean beauty brands — SUNGBOON EDITOR and Milk Touch — are stepping up their mass-channel footprint with a coordinated launch inside Target Beauty Studio beginning September 10, 2026. The pair will occupy shelf space in the Asian Beauty section of more than 600 Target stores nationwide and on Target.com, collectively adding 68 SKUs to a retail concept that already houses 90 prestige, emerging, and global beauty brands across more than 1,600 products.

The rollout is a meaningful distribution leap for both brands, which are distributed in the U.S. through Olive International. For SUNGBOON EDITOR, the launch builds on an existing Target relationship — the brand's collagen masks were already stocked across all Target doors — but the expanded assortment pushes it into a full beauty and personal care routine play, with 29 products spanning cleansers, toners, ampoules, capsule creams, treatment pads, mists, and masks. For Milk Touch, this marks its Target debut, entering with 39 products across five color cosmetics and skincare categories, including an All-Day Milky Glow Cushion Foundation in 16 shades, Jelly Fit Tinted Glow Tint in 9 shades, and two Iconic Mascara SKUs.

Shelf Architecture

The in-store merchandising strategy places both brands within Target Beauty Studio's elevated discovery format, which features dedicated Beauty Advisors, rotating product spotlights, and exclusive Target Circle promotional offers — effectively a managed HiLo environment layered over a planogram built for experiential browsing. The concept is designed to drive trial velocity on emerging and global brands, with end-cap and in-store display support replacing the traditional slotting-fee-heavy approach common in mass grocery. That structure gives ingredient-driven brands like SUNGBOON EDITOR — whose eight hero collections include Deep Collagen, Silk Peptide EGF, and Kojic Acid Niacinamide lines — a storytelling vehicle that scan data alone cannot replicate at shelf.

K-Beauty's Mass-Channel Moment

The launch lands as Korean beauty transitions from a specialty-channel discovery trend into a mass-market category management priority. K-beauty's influence is now visible in syndicated data across skincare subcategories, with ingredient-forward positioning — retinol, peptides, bakuchiol, niacinamide — driving velocity gains at mass and club. Target's decision to install a dedicated Asian Beauty section within Beauty Studio signals a planogram commitment that elevates K-beauty from a one-off endcap to a recurring category adjacency. Competitors in the natural/specialty channel and drug channel will be watching door count and turn rates closely as the assortment matures.

"Target has an incredible ability to introduce consumers to new beauty discoveries while making the shopping experience feel accessible and intuitive," said Joey Chung, U.S. Market Director at Olive International. "Launching SUNGBOON EDITOR and Milk Touch within Target Beauty Studio represents an important milestone for both brands and an opportunity to connect more U.S. consumers with the innovation, performance and creativity defining Korean beauty today."

For grocery and CPG operators tracking the beauty and personal care perimeter, the dual-brand drop at Target underscores how mass retailers are engineering discovery ecosystems — bundling advisor services, loyalty incentives, and curated global assortments — to defend beauty share against specialty and DTC channels. With 600-plus doors and a companion digital shelf on Target.com, SUNGBOON EDITOR and Milk Touch now have meaningful ACV from which to build velocity data and support future planogram expansion.
