Silk is expanding its plant-based protein offerings with two new products: Silk Protein Yogurt and Silk Protein Shakes, as consumer demand for protein-fortified foods continues to rise.
Yogurt and Shake Specs The Silk Protein Yogurt arrives in 5.3oz individual cups and a 24oz tub format, delivering 13g of complete plant protein per 6oz serving in the larger format and 12g per individual cup. The yogurt also contains 4g of fiber and includes five essential nutrients: calcium, vitamin D, vitamin B12, iodine, and phosphorus. It comes in Vanilla, Strawberry, Peach, and Mixed Berry flavors and carries no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. Silk positions the yogurt as the only plant-based yogurt with 100% of its protein sourced from a complete protein (soy). The new Silk Protein Shakes are shelf-stable, ready-to-drink beverages in single-serve 11.15oz bottles. Each shake contains 30g of complete plant protein—the highest in Silk's portfolio—along with 5g of fiber, 2g of total sugar, and 180 calories per serving. The shakes are available in Vanilla and Chocolate as a 4-count pack.
Rollout and Pricing Silk Protein Yogurt began rolling out to retailers nationwide in late June.
Silk Protein Shakes are launching this month in the protein shake aisle. The yogurt cups carry a suggested retail price of $1.99 each, while the 24oz tub is priced at $6.79. The 4-count shake pack retails for $11.99.
Why It Matters
Protein has become a mainstream consumer priority—recent surveys show it as the #1 nutrient Americans aim to include in their diets. The expansion extends Silk's reach beyond plant-based milk into yogurt and beverage categories where dairy incumbents dominate the protein-forward segment, creating new SKUs for foodservice buyers and retailers stocking functional dairy alternatives.
