Happy Lemon, the tea brand known for popularizing rock salt cheese tea, is scaling its U.S. presence with more than 115 locations already operating in major metropolitan markets. The brand operates 350+ stores across 21 countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, South Korea, Japan, and the UAE. In the American market, the chain has established a presence in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, and Houston.
Fresh-Brewed Model Each drink is brewed fresh and crafted by hand using premium ingredients, according to the brand.
The rock salt cheese tea—a creamy, salty-sweet beverage—helped establish Happy Lemon's differentiation in an increasingly crowded tea category.
Franchise Strategy Happy Lemon frames expansion as a cultural play rather than a purely financial one. "Whether you're grabbing a quick cup or building a multi-unit franchise, you're joining a movement rooted in quality, creativity, and joy," the brand stated.
Why It Matters
As the U.S. tea market grows beyond traditional offerings, Asian-originated beverage brands continue to gain traction in urban centers. Happy Lemon's rapid domestic expansion signals sustained consumer demand for specialty tea formats and international flavor profiles in major U.S. cities.
