From Fine Dining to Chocolate Craft Chef Jocelyn Dubuke spent years honing her skills in the South's high-end dining establishments—including The Ocean Room at Kiawah Island, The Georgian Room at Sea Island, and Restaurant Eugene—before trading the restaurant kitchen for the chocolate shop. The pivot came after a stage (French for internship) at a Pennsylvania chocolate shop in 2015. "Restaurants were where she always felt at home," yet the chocolate world inspired her enough to leave Restaurant Eugene and open JARDÍ Chocolates in Atlanta.

Hand-Crafted Without Compromise Each chocolate at JARDÍ is individually hand-crafted using real ingredients, with no preservatives, additives, or dyes. The shop prioritizes both aesthetic appeal and flavor—a balance Dubuke developed through her fine-dining background.

Why It Matters

As artisanal chocolate producers continue to expand in urban markets, JARDÍ represents a growing category of chef-driven confectionery operations that apply restaurant-level precision to retail chocolate manufacturing. For specialty food retailers and fine-dining pastry suppliers, the model illustrates how high-end culinary talent increasingly seeks entrepreneurial outlets in adjacent categories.
