Taste of Nature by V.G.I., an Israeli producer, is entering the U.S. market with a portfolio of 13 Mediterranean-inspired gourmet spreads designed for retail and foodservice use. The collection includes Artichoke Mousse with Truffle Purée, Artichoke & Pesto Mousse, Kalamata and Green Olive Tapenades, Roasted Pepper Cream, Fresh Chimichurri, Pesto, Preserved Lemon, Sweet Onion Spread, Filfel Chuma, and vegan aiolis. All products are plant-based, vegan-certified, and kosher (parve), made without preservatives or artificial colorants and packaged in recyclable glass jars.

Market Entry and Channel Strategy The brand is currently available through Walmart Marketplace with inventory based in New Jersey. The company is positioning products for use as spreads, dips, condiments, pasta sauces, marinades, appetizers, and ready-to-plate solutions—targeting specialty retailers, gourmet grocers, distributors, foodservice operators, and culinary partnerships. "One remarkable taste can take you to another country without leaving home," the company states, framing each product as a distinct flavor destination.

Why It Matters

The entry signals growing U.S. retailer interest in premium, plant-based condiments with clean labels.

As foodservice operators and specialty grocers seek differentiated Mediterranean offerings, imported gourmet spreads positioned for both back-of-house culinary applications and retail shelves represent a dual-channel opportunity in an increasingly crowded category.
