Sprouts Adds Third Coffee Partner to In-Store Cafe Portfolio
Sprouts Farmers Market is expanding its in-store coffee operation with the launch of Buddy Brew, a Tampa-based specialty coffee company, at 10 Florida locations beginning June 17.
The first location opens at Sprouts' Tampa Westchase store (10619 Sheldon Rd., Tampa, FL 33626). Shoppers will have access to handcrafted beverages, cold brews, specialty items, and limited-edition selections exclusive to Sprouts.
Building on Existing Coffee Strategy
The Buddy Brew partnership represents Sprouts' third specialty coffee cafe partnership, following earlier launches with Klatch Coffee in Los Angeles and PRESS Coffee in Phoenix. The expansion signals the grocer's continued investment in localized, in-store food and beverage experiences.
Sprouts has not yet disclosed additional details about the remaining nine Florida locations or expansion timelines beyond the initial rollout.
Why It Matters
For operators, Sprouts' multi-partner coffee strategy demonstrates a shift toward curated, regional brand partnerships rather than a single national chain—a model that may appeal to consumers seeking local authenticity. The move also highlights growing competition among grocers to capture incremental daypart sales through specialty beverage offerings.
