Organic Valley Targets Convenience With Butter-Olive Oil Blend

Organic Valley is expanding its butter portfolio with a product designed to solve a persistent kitchen annoyance: cold butter that won't spread.

The new Organic Valley® Butter with Olive Oil, rolling out nationwide this month, combines organic butter from pasture-raised cows with organic olive oil, water, and salt to create a spreadable consistency that works straight from the refrigerator.

Product Details

The 8-ounce tub carries a suggested retail price of $5.49. The blend maintains the flavor profile of traditional organic butter while addressing texture issues that have long frustrated consumers.

Sourcing and Standards

The butter is made from milk sourced from cows raised without antibiotics, synthetic hormones, toxic pesticides, or GMOs. All ingredients are certified organic, reflecting the cooperative's stated commitment to high-quality organic products.

Organic Valley, based in La Farge, Wisconsin, is owned by more than 1,500 organic family farms. The cooperative was founded in 1988.

Why It Matters

The product targets a functional pain point in home cooking while capitalizing on consumer demand for premium, organic spreads. As plant-based and specialty butter alternatives proliferate in the market, traditional dairy butter brands face pressure to innovate on convenience and functionality.
