OOZ has entered US retail as the first 100% organic birch sap brand, positioning itself in what the company calls the "forest hydration" category. The beverage launches with a single ingredient: birch sap wild harvested from a government-protected forest in Northern China during a 14-day window each spring, then bottled in glass. The product contains no added sugar, flavoring, concentrate, or processing.

What's in the bottle Birch sap is the water the tree pulls from the ground and filters through itself in the two weeks before its leaves open. OOZ's offering carries naturally occurring electrolytes—potassium, calcium, and magnesium—plus manganese at 35% of the daily value and naturally occurring antioxidants.

Early traction Since launching in April 2026, OOZ has reached roughly 100 retail doors nationally, including Happier Grocery, Fairway, and Pop Up Grocer. The brand achieved this distribution entirely through founder-led sales with zero advertising spend.

Why it matters As consumers continue to seek functional beverages with transparent ingredient lists, single-ingredient hydration products occupy a growing niche. OOZ's rapid wholesale placement without paid marketing suggests retailer interest in differentiated water categories with traceable sourcing.
