Mondelēz International has secured a multi-year partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs as the team's official snacking partner, marking the snack giant's first-ever sponsorship of a professional football franchise. The agreement pairs iconic snack brands—OREO Cookies, RITZ Crackers, CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, and SOUR PATCH KIDS—with one of the NFL's most engaged fan bases. Mondelēz will activate the partnership through in-stadium integrations at Arrowhead Stadium, regional retail displays across Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, and exclusive game-day promotions. "We are incredibly excited to kick off the football season by charging into Chiefs Kingdom alongside one of the most iconic fanbases in sports," said Nick Rogers, Director of Portfolio Marketing & Sponsorships at Mondelēz International. "Mondelēz snacks have fueled legendary tailgates and family gatherings for generations. Elevating that Arrowhead Stadium tradition with fan favorites like OREO, RITZ, SOUR PATCH KIDS, and CHIPS AHOY! allows us to bring the ultimate gameday lineup straight to Chiefs Kingdom."
Game-Day Activation Fans will encounter Mondelēz brands throughout their stadium experience, from tailgates to home viewing parties across the Midwest. Beginning in October, custom fall football displays featuring special promotions will appear in retail locations across the three-state region. "We are thrilled to welcome Mondelēz International to Chiefs Kingdom as our Official Snacking Partner," said Tyler Kirby, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer of the Kansas City Chiefs. "Their iconic roster of snacks is already a gameday staple for millions of households, and together we look forward to elevating the fan experience at Arrowhead Stadium and throughout our community."
Strategic Fit The partnership builds on Mondelēz International's broader sports marketing strategy, which includes activations around the Super Bowl, March Madness, and previous campaigns with Inter Miami CF. The company reported 2025 net revenues of approximately $38.5 billion, with a portfolio spanning biscuits, crackers, chocolates, and baked snacks across more than 150 countries.
Why It Matters
For snack manufacturers, sports partnerships offer direct access to engaged consumer moments and premium retail placement. The Chiefs' loyal, affluent fan base represents a high-value demographic for CPG brands seeking to build frequency and drive trial through stadium and regional retail integration.
