Instacart and Petsense by Tractor Supply announced an exclusive same-day delivery partnership that launches deliveries of pet food and supplies across Petsense's 209-store footprint nationwide. Customers can now order from Petsense through the Instacart app and website, with same-day delivery available in as fast as one hour and no price markups on items. The partnership is exclusive to Instacart, meaning Petsense will not use competing delivery services for on-demand fulfillment. "Petsense has built a loyal following among pet owners who care deeply about the wellbeing of their animals," said Blake Wallace, Vice President of Commercial Partnerships at Instacart. "We're thrilled to be Petsense's exclusive same-day delivery partner, making it easier than ever for customers to get the specialty products their pets love, whenever they need them." Shawn Blankenship, Vice President of Petsense by Tractor Supply, added: "By partnering with Instacart to offer same-day delivery, customers can now receive our top-quality assortment of pet food and supplies in as little as an hour. This partnership represents our commitment to being the most convenient and dependable place to shop for your pets."

What Petsense Offers Petsense operates 209 stores across 23 states and carries a curated selection of boutique and specialty pet brands, many exclusive to its locations. The retailer stocks nationally recognized brands including Fromm, Orijen, Acana, Purina Pro Plan, Hill's Science Diet, Victor, Royal Canin, and NutriSource.

Promotions and Rollout To mark the launch, Instacart is offering $10 off first qualifying $50 Petsense purchases through September 30. The promotion applies to new Instacart customers only, with one offer per household. Petsense joins more than 2,200 national and local retail banners on the Instacart Marketplace, which collectively represents nearly 100,000 stores.

Why It Matters

The partnership expands Instacart's reach into specialty retail and reflects growing consumer demand for rapid delivery across categories beyond groceries. For Petsense, the deal provides access to Instacart's customer base without requiring separate logistics infrastructure, a common model for brick-and-mortar retailers entering the same-day delivery space.
