Harris Teeter has launched its 2026 Harvest Feast Round Up campaign, allowing customers to round up their transactions to the nearest dollar at checkout through Dec. 29. All funds raised will go directly to hunger relief partners operating in the grocer's local markets. The initiative has generated substantial support over its two-decade run. Last year's campaign raised more than $820,000, and since the program's inception in 2005, it has collected over $14 million in donations.

Local Distribution Model Harris Teeter partners with 19 local agencies across its eight-state footprint to distribute donations. The company ensures that funds raised at individual stores stay within the communities they serve, with each food bank partner assigned specific store locations in their service areas. "We want to make giving back a simple part of our customers' everyday visits," said Danna Robinson, director of corporate affairs and customer relations for Harris Teeter. "Through our Harvest Feast Round Up campaign, we're proud to bring together our valued associates, our customers and our local food banks to help provide meals and make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve." Robinson added, "Every dollar donated at checkout stays local, supporting food bank partners that serve families in the same community where the donation is made."

Why It Matters

For grocers, roundup campaigns offer a low-friction fundraising mechanism that converts micro-donations into meaningful community impact while reinforcing brand loyalty. Harris Teeter's two-decade track record demonstrates the durability of the model and its appeal to both customers and food access organizations.
