Clean-Label Brand Expands Across Three Channels Eat Happy Kitchen, the woman-owned food brand founded by cookbook author Anna Vocino, announced simultaneous retail expansion across three product categories and retail partners, marking a significant acceleration of its distribution strategy. The company's high-protein Cheese Bites are now available nationwide at HomeGoods locations, giving the snack line—which launched in 2025—its first national brick-and-mortar retail presence outside traditional grocery channels. The discovery-driven model at HomeGoods, where consumers return regularly for new and unexpected finds, provides a different shopping context than conventional food retail. Parallel to the HomeGoods rollout, Eat Happy Kitchen's pasta sauces and spice blends entered 120 Hy-Vee stores, while its Seed Oil Free Certified pasta sauces expanded to all 114 Raley's locations across Northern California and Nevada. The Hy-Vee products are positioned in the retailer's health food section.

Portfolio and Product Strategy The Cheese Bites are made from two primary components: real cheese and Eat Happy Kitchen's signature seasoning blends. Each serving delivers 10–11 grams of protein and is gluten-free, sugar-free, and made without fillers or artificial ingredients. The company's pasta sauces are gluten-free, contain no added sugar, and are Seed Oil Free Certified. Spice blends, packaged in vintage-inspired tins, are also gluten-free, contain no added sugar, and are made without fillers. "There is tremendous momentum behind Eat Happy Kitchen right now, and this expansion reflects the strength of the brand across our entire product portfolio," said Anna Vocino, Founder and CEO. "We've been intentional about building products that deliver on taste, quality and clean ingredients, and the addition of HomeGoods, Hy-Vee, and Raley's gives us an opportunity to introduce those products to significantly more consumers across the country."

Existing Retail Base Eat Happy Kitchen's pasta sauces are already stocked in more than 1,000 stores, including Pavilions, Gelson's, Central Market, Fresh Thyme, D'Agostino/Gristedes, Jewel Osco, Coborn's, Albertson's United/Market Street, and other regional grocers and independents. The company operates a 12-SKU portfolio spanning five pasta sauce varieties, four spice blends, and three Cheese Bites varieties. Vocino, author of the bestselling Eat Happy cookbook series, pairs her products with recipes and cooking content for a community focused on reducing sugar consumption and clean-label eating.

Why It Matters

The expansion across HomeGoods, regional supermarket chains, and existing natural/specialty retailers illustrates a growing multi-channel strategy for premium clean-label brands. Success in non-traditional grocery venues like HomeGoods signals that consumers in those channels actively seek out specialty food products, creating a new distribution avenue for brands competing in the crowded natural foods space.
