Seasonal Snacks Target Fall Demand Day Out Snacks is rolling out two limited-edition fall flavors starting August 17: Apple Pie and Pumpkin Cheesecake protein balls. Both products will be sold exclusively online through getdayout.com and Amazon while supplies last. The new offerings build on consumer feedback from last year's Apple Cider Donut launch. "Our fans helped inspire both of these flavors," said Day Out founder and CEO Becky Dheri. "After trying last year's Apple Cider Donut, they told us they wanted more apple and more spice, so we created Apple Pie. They also made it clear that pumpkin belonged in our fall lineup. Pumpkin Cheesecake delivers that classic pumpkin flavor in a rich, creamy bite."
Product Details and Pricing Apple Pie combines sweet apple flavor with warm spices, while Pumpkin Cheesecake pairs pumpkin spice with white chocolate chips and creamy cheesecake notes. The Pumpkin Cheesecake marks Day Out's first product to include dairy. Both flavors are made with the brand's signature nut butter and dates base. Each 4.5-ounce bag contains nine protein balls (three servings) with 9 grams of protein per serving. Both are gluten-free and non-GMO. Pricing for bundles starts at $33 for a four-pack, $49.50 for a six-pack, and $66 for an eight-pack.
Strategic Testing Ground Dheri framed seasonal launches as a product development strategy. "Seasonal flavors give us room to explore the tastes people are actively seeking while staying true to our focus on dessert-inspired snacks with real nutritional value," she said. The limited-time approach allows the brand to test flavor concepts and gather consumer insights during peak purchasing moments throughout the year.
Why It Matters
Seasonal protein snacks have become a key driver for CPG growth in the better-for-you category.
Direct-to-consumer and Amazon exclusivity models allow smaller brands to test products at scale without retailer slotting fees, then use performance data to negotiate broader distribution—a common playbook in the prestige snacking space.
