New Dessert-Inspired Flavor Joins Fall Rotation Community Coffee, the family-owned Louisiana roaster, is releasing Glazed Honey Bun, a limited-time flavor available now through November at retailers nationwide, online, and on Amazon. The naturally flavored blend combines notes of sweet honey and buttery, crisp dough. It is gluten-free, allergen-free, roasted to a medium roast, and contains no added sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Tapping Into Bakery-Inspired Trend The product joins Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Pie in Community Coffee's fall rotation and reflects a broader shift toward dessert-inspired coffee flavors, particularly among Gen Z and millennial drinkers. According to Kristi Crump, chief commercial officer at Community Coffee: "Glazed Honey Bun is one of those flavors that makes you stop and say, 'I have to try that.' It's unexpected and fun, but there's also something really familiar about it. The sweet honey and warm, buttery bakery notes bring back that unmistakable honey bun experience in a really delicious cup of coffee." The company has capitalized on this trend in recent years, adding Chocolate Lava Cake and Cinnamon Roll as permanent offerings after strong customer response.

Pricing and Distribution Glazed Honey Bun is available in 11 oz. ground bags ($10.99) and Keurig K-Cup pods in 10-count ($10.99) and 22-count boxes ($18.49). Community Coffee CEO Tom Corley said: "For more than 100 years, Community Coffee has grown by staying true to who we are while continuing to give our customers new ways to enjoy their coffee. Glazed Honey Bun is a fun example of that—a warm, comforting flavor inspired by a treat people already know and love, backed by the quality they expect from Community Coffee."

Why It Matters

Dessert-forward coffee innovation remains a key traffic driver for specialty roasters competing in an increasingly crowded market. Community Coffee's ability to convert limited-time offerings into permanent SKUs—a track record evident with Cinnamon Roll and Chocolate Lava Cake—signals strong demand signals that retailers can use to inform inventory decisions.
